Changing into a global expat

No one actually wants to work forty hours a week for the next forty or fifty years of their lives before they are allowed to retire when they are old and gray. It is only the dictation of Western governments that have told you since the time you were a child that the only way to be a productive member of society was to become part of the hamster wheel grinding your life away so you can have all of the "good things in life" that are part of the American dream. This is why the modern expat lifestyle is so appealing, because it completely bypasses this so-called "reality".

The expat lifestyle is about making the entire planet your home. You can go anywhere, be anyone, do anything and experience absolute freedom whenever and wherever you want. And while the American propaganda machine has done an excellent job of brainwashing people into thinking that living in another country is dangerous, the reality is that every country in the world is safe. And we all have a right to choose where we want to live, work, pay taxes and where we want to enjoy our lives.

It sounds more difficult but it's actually not. The difference is that you have the flexibility and freedom to choose where you want to face the challenges life throws at you, and with greater flexibility and freedom comes the ability do what you want, when you want. In other words, when you can choose to live in a country like Bulgaria where you have a middle-class life that costs you 70 percent or 80% less than a it does in your home country, you'll find yourself on a fast track to a stress free and debt free lifestyle.

When you can call any city in any country on the planet home, you are absolutely free. You don't have to be chained down to one place and forced into a life that some society tells you that you are "required" to adhere to. You can break free and start enjoying absolute freedom as an expat anywhere in the world. All it takes is your decision to no longer be a slave to a singular government and explore all of your options as a free and independent citizen of the world.

It's this type of escapism that allows expats the absolute freedom of choosing where they want and how they want to live. It goes far beyond simple costs of living, and delves deeper into the human experience of sharing cultures around the world. If you have ever wanted to cast off the shackles of conformity and live life to the fullest, there's no better time than now, and no better way than as an expat.
